Terms and player waiver
The small print.
These terms apply to every Unity Sports Leagues tournament and league. By entering a team, the captain accepts them on behalf of the whole team.
Last updated 22 October 2026.
1. Entry and payment
- A team captain enters on behalf of the whole team and is responsible for the team's entry fee.
- We email an invoice after entry. Payment is due within 5 days by card or bank transfer. Unpaid places are released after 5 days.
- A place is confirmed only when the invoice is paid in full.
- Early bird prices apply automatically. Partner codes take £10 off a Christmas Cup entry or a team's first Sunday League block, and can be combined with early bird pricing. One partner code per team.
2. Minimum numbers and cancellation by us
- Every tournament and league needs at least 4 paid teams to run.
- If we cancel a tournament or league for any reason, including too few teams, every paid team receives a full refund.
3. Venue closure and bad weather
- If the venue closes the pitch or conditions are unsafe, we will arrange a new date or give every paid team a full refund.
4. If your team withdraws
- Tournament entry fees are non refundable if your team withdraws.
- League fees are paid per 4 week block and are non refundable once a block has started.
5. Squads
- All Unity tournaments and leagues are 7 a side, with squads of 7 to 10 registered players.
- Each player may play for one team only in each tournament or league.
6. Eligibility and the player waiver
- All players must be aged 18 or over. Proof of age may be requested.
- Every player must complete the Unity player registration and waiver before taking part.
- Football involves a risk of injury. Players take part voluntarily, are responsible for being fit to play, and look after their own belongings.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Insurance
Unity Sports Leagues holds public liability insurance for its tournaments and leagues. We only run an event once enough teams have entered and our insurance is in place.
8. Conduct
- Players follow the rules of play and the referee's decisions, and treat opponents, officials and venue staff with respect.
- We may remove a player or team for serious misconduct, without refund.
- Moulded studs or astro trainers only on the 3G surface. No metal studs.
9. Photography and filming policy
- Photography and filming take place at all Unity tournaments and league matches, including by professional photographers and videographers working for us.
- We use these photos and videos on our website, social media and marketing materials.
- By taking part, players accept that they may appear in this content. If you have a concern about appearing, tell a director before the event and we will do our best to keep you out of featured content.
